What can you do at home? Don’t be tempted to go outside with this fine list of things you can do.

So, what can we do now? Nothing is open, we’re not together or socialising and none of us can work (or, at least, not many of us). There’s a spooky, empty feeling going around that shadows over all of us. So, how about we just create things instead?
I was thinking the other day, however, that it seems the entire world is being forced to do what I’ve chosen to do. I’ve come home to spend time doing internal work. Winter is coming to Melbourne, which I haven’t experienced in three years. I know now that winter is a time to go inwards, to heal and to do the work.

Once again, the question I’m being asked most these days is “how does it feel to be home?”
And the answer is the same as it was the last two times I came home; it’s weird. But I think I can identify the weirdness a little easier now due to some reflection.

I’ve spent the last week at Envision Festival. I went totally off the grid in the jungle of Costa Rica. When I say off-grid, I mean that I turned my phone off and closed my laptop down. Although I had over 100 unread WhatsApp messages to read when I did re-enter cyberspace, it was a well-needed break from screens so that I could connect to something else.

My time in Nicaragua has come to a close and it’s provided me with a lot of time for reflection. As leaving a place always does, I start to feel incredibly nostalgic for where I am and what I’ll miss at both Surfing Turtle Lodge and Carpe Diem.

I’m still in Nicaragua and I’m still in the paradise called Surfing Turtle Lodge. My days are still much the same as what I described in my last post with only a few minor changes.

I have settled in a tiny little lodge called Surfing Turtle Lodge, near the town of Penoloya in Nicaragua.

I’m done. Finished. I’m outa here! Goodbye, good luck and Godspeed to everyone in the states. I’m finally leaving. It’s been a wild adventure here. I’ve seen a lot of this country from California to New York and so many of the beautiful people that live here. But I know that this is a country that I don’t want to be in anymore.
I want to go where people don’t speak English, where every day is a little bit of a battle for some reason. A place where I’m challenged day to day by myself and by the environment around me. Most importantly, I want to be warm again. That place will be Nicaragua.
New York and New Years Eve – January 2020
Happy New Year everyone! Now that the champagne hangovers have cleared and we’re all ready to give up on our new year’s resolutions, I thought it would be time to inform you all of how I spent my new years in New York City.
It was humble, to say the least.

Christmas in Connecticut – December 2019
This is my second Christmas away from home. Last year I spend my time in Pai, spinning fire and eating way too much food. This year, I got an all American Christmas. Come to think of it, I did a lot of the same things as last year.
